As of yet, many Samsung users are still patiently waiting for the latest Android OS updates, while many devices are already receiving Marshmallow, with the most recent the LG G3. For example, Telus is already busy showing its monthly security update to Nexus devices, which is stated to arrive on the 4th of April. However, Samsung users need not falter, as the Samsung Note 5 is now scheduled for Marshmallow on the 6th of April, which will be followed by updates for the newly released Galaxy S7 and S7 edge 3 days after, with bug fixes. And finally, the long-awaited Android 6.0 update for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge was reportedly to be dropped on the 14th and 18th of April, respectively.
As for the Samsung Galaxy S6, which was released back in 2015, reports suggest that Samsung has rolled out the Android 6.0.0 Marshmallow update for it, with the model number G920F said to be eligible to receive the update through XXU3DPAD. Apparently, the update brings a newer version of the TouchWiz interface, together with the brand new OS. Previously, there are complaints among users that they cannot remove unnecessary pre-installed apps from their devices that occupy space. But with the latest update, they are now able to uninstall pre-installed apps from the Galaxy S6.
