My Desktop: Dan Cartis
Just like any other computer fanatic, my laptop is my baby. She's a Dell e1505 XP/Ubuntu dual boot with an ATI x1400 video card and 2GB of RAM.
I've been using Ubuntu since September 2007 and I love it more and
more every day. This is my most recent desktop configuration since
installing AWN (Avant Window Navigator). I have an entire folder
dedicated to silky smooth wallpapers that contribute to my laptop's
"green" theme. I even custom painted a green border around the trim and
modded the carbon fiber lid to be truly unique.
My Desktop: Doug
Almost everything on my desktop is available out of the box, with the exception of Screenlets. Even the widgets are available via Compiz Fusion. The Evolution icon is docked to the tray via Alltray. All I've added to the lower taskbar are the lm-sensors applet for monitoring CPU and hard-drive temperatures, and the system-monitor bar.
