Welcome to another issue of Full Circle Magazine
By the time you read this, Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) will have been released. May your upgrade go smoothly. I'm a Kubuntu guy, but since my current install is 7.10 with added KDE 4 goodness, I may just do a fresh install. But, we'll see.
This month sees the start of another new series. Due to public demand for GIMP articles, I've created 'Using GIMP'. It will cover the basics (this month) through to the more important things, such as layers and end with the creation of a collage which will use all the techniques learned from previous months. I hope you'll enjoy it.
Since is one year old this month, I thought it would be fun to trace it back to its origins, and show how it has developed over the past year. I also included some download statistics too, which suggest that readership has fallen over the past year, it hasn't. Remember that issue #1 has had 12 months to acquire that many downloads. More over, some people link directly to the PDF, thus bypassing our download counter. Either way, I'm just happy to have downloads !
