  • I feel your pain. FIrst time I tried Ubuntu (8.04), I thought, “Nah, I think I’ll stick to Windows, this system isn’t good enough.” It couldn’t run Sketchup to my satisfaction, just to name one thing.

    So I removed the partition from my Hard disk… Can you see the problem coming?

    Well, needless to say, I had GRUB issues. This wouldn’t be a problem if I had had the Windows CD, but, oh well.

    So, I was basically forced into using Ubuntu, which, in the long run, turned out to be a great thing, but at the time I was furious, not in the least because of the 3d modelling I couldn’t do any more.

    My only solace was that I still had my files.

    Love the magazine, even without the extra polish.

  • The Ubnutu news is missing from the pdf. Or my okular reader is missing something?

    • Someone didn’t read my sob story at the top of the download page… :)
