  • I think it has to be our best episode so far!

Robin, did you toned down my over reaction of Dave not knowing what Conky was? I thought it sounded worst during recording!

  • Overall another enjoyable podcast, keep up the great work guys. One complaint though – Dave sounded like he was in a deep well and was hard to understand. What is his microphone situation at home? Could we take up a collection and get him a better microphone? Is the problem a faulty PulseAudio config? I am willing to donate a headset to Dave if it will help.

  • Bart: Short of me splicing together our individual recordings from each station (believe me a serious drag), we are at the mercy of Skype signal degradation through the duration of the show. Honestly I don’t know if we have ISP’s traffic-shaping or Skype itself trying to traffic-manage with bad results.

Don’t start him going against Pulse-Audio again!

We’ll see what we can do. RC

  • I must say that I used Ubuntu one daily. it works flawlessly for me.

    • Buck: I’ve not had a problem with it either, other than speed on a couple of machines. Call me paranoid, I’m just not so trusting of the Cloud. What are fluffy clouds made of? Vapour. The prosecution rests, you honour. RC
