As always, it's great to see a new issue. I found Full Circle because I was searching for Scribus, but I've come to value it for it's even-handed and objective approach to things. Unlike "Tux" (which it reminds me of) there is no attitude about KDE vs GNOME, but there is one parallel to "Tux" that I find troubling - the switch starting from Issue 4 to a landscape format. I print Full Circle, read it offline, then store it in a notebook. Landscape is a real pain.

That said, Full Circle is the reason why I'm moving things from Xandros to Ubuntu. I've got kubuntu on a workstation and ubuntu server on a box that I'm rebuilding to be a home server. Thanks for a great resource!

Joe,

Don't try and force how you view a holiday down everyone else's throat.

The author is free to celebrate whatever holiday he chooses without being persecuted by the likes of you.

Just as you're free to celebrate whatever you choose without being hassled by others.

Try to give others the same respect.

Hello!

I like the magazine, find the articles helpful and want to encourage you to continue.

Each time I come to the site to download the file, I spend a few frustrating minutes trying to find the appropriate button. Other people probably have the same problem and perhaps some give up and go away without having accessed your magazine. I suggest therefore that you make it very clear how visitors access the articles.

Best wishes for the New Year!

Well, christmas was at first the holiday of light, the victory over the dark, before church "christianed" it.

Thank you for the magazine and have a good new Ubuntu-year, 2008!

Folks, take a look at how the magazine is decorated. It has tinsel, baubles and presents. There is NOTHING religious displayed so I have no idea why you are all going on about religion.

Yes, for Christians, Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Christ. But many other religions celebrate the 25th December in their own way hence why I only used decoration.

Tinsel and baubles does not mean Christianity!

Hello Everyone.

It seems sad that we have a debate because someone is being politically correct. Save that for public schools, not a community magazine.

Plus it's not as if Ron went crazy putting pictures of the cross on every second page. If you don't observe Christmas (even as just a public holiday) then that's fine, but please don't rain on the parade. As far as I know, those who don't celebrate Christmas were taken into consideration whilst deciding if the mag should be decorated with christmas things.

It's just the same as me putting Creative Commons Christmas Music on my podcast. People will whine, that's a given.

Please don't ruin it for the rest of us. I'd personally like to see the debate stop, I've heard enough.

Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Matthew Rossi.

Good magazine about Ubuntu news!
@Joe: I'm jewish and I do celebrate Hannuka and Christmas with my family as I'm french and that Christmas is the popular holiday here (so in my family I have an 8-day "fake" X-mas and the real X-mas lol).

@Mark: I'm sorry, but no, thats not true. Pagan is a religion if I am not mistaken. Or was. That statement is not true.

@N: No problem, I just wish you could have put some stuff for other holidays too. :) Then I wouldn't have minded really - at all. :) But there is always a next time. Lets hope. :)

For another year of Full Circle Magazine! (I think we can all agree on that.)
